I love the word HOPE because it means there is something more to come. A period of refreshment and expectation. Hope is reassurance when the road ahead looks rough. It’s strength to move forward and take the next steps.
But hope doesn’t just magically appear. We must call for it and invite it in. We must meditate on God’s word and fix our eyes on Him. We must live it on a daily basis.
It’s when we seek His face and focus on Him that we are practicing hope in abundance.
“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31 NIV
Often times we see situations as hopeless; that’s because we’ve lost control of what’s important.
If we are to live a life filled with hope then we must commit to the word, get in the word, and stay in the word.
He is faithful. He is our protector. He gives us strength. His love for us is endless. And, He hears our pleas and answers our prayers.
God’s word tells us that despite our imperfections ‘We are enough.’ If we listen, we can hear Him telling us when it’s time to stop, take a breath and push the pause button so we can refocus on what matters most.
1 Corinthians 1:9 tells me, “Just think—you don’t need a thing, you’ve got it all!
All of God’s gifts are right in front of us as we wait expectantly for our Master Jesus to arrive on the scene for the Finale. And not only that, but God himself is right alongside to keep us steady and on track until things are all wrapped up by Jesus. God, who got us started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son. He will never give up on us. Never forget that.
It is comforting to know that Jesus is with us when we are at our best and when we struggle. He calls each one of us by name and loves us unconditionally. That’s the hope and joy we are talking about.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
