Good Sunday morning! Can you believe we are on day 13 of the ‘thankful heart challenge? That means we are a little over a third of the way through this study. My heart is filled with joy as I think about all that we have uncovered about ourselves during this time.
Are you seeing progress as you pray for God to cultivate in you a grateful heart? I hope so. You know it means so much when we use our journals to keep track of all the big and small things that He is doing in our lives. Writing them down allows us to reflect on His blessings.
We have so many reasons to be grateful and I want to encourage you to see the blessings that are right in front of you.
This week’s study reminds us of what we have, but it also touches on areas that challenge us. Life will always be a mixed bag of experiences and we can either be thankful for all that we have, or we can bypass the goodness and grace, and concentrate on what is missing.
As we examine our gratitude status we should be encouraged to be intentional and genuine in our commitment to Christ. Are we finding contentment with what we have? Are we finding that our focus is shifting from ourselves to others? Are we able to praise Him despite the setbacks or missteps?
Only we can answer those questions, but I’m hopeful that this challenge is providing you with courage, confidence, and encouragement as you seek Him and His marvelous ways.
God’s word tells us in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
As we continue this journey my wish is for us to spread ‘thanks’ and ‘happiness’ to people everywhere. Be an example. Be a light for Him. Be YOU!
Blessings & Hugs. I’m praying for you in the week ahead.
We have so much to be grateful for. When difficult things are happening in this world, it reminds us even more how to be thankful. Great series, friend!
Thank you Kristine! Now, more than ever we need to be thankful and grateful for what we have as a country, as Daughter’s the King, and for those we love and care about so much. So thankful for your encouragement.
