~COMMENT BELOW TO WIN A COPY OF THE BOOK, LISTEN, LOVE, REPEAT, PLUS THE BIBLE STUDY GUIDE WITH DVD~
Things have been pretty crazy the last few months and they seem to have gotten more so in recent days. The fun and entertaining news on social media, particularly Facebook, has been replaced by the not-so-nice comments, the ridiculing of others, and practically zero respect for anyone whose opinion differs.
All you have to do is listen to the harshness and it’s easy to get discouraged.
As my friend Gail says, “this kind of stuff just slays me.”
It seems the term, self-centered, has taken on a new meaning. We are watching others be degraded, deflated, and defeated. The ‘ME’ attitude has taken over and we’ve forgotten what the significance of genuine caring and conversation looks like.
We are a society dwelling in the ‘all about me,’ syndrome.
So what has happened to caring for others? What has happened to actually listening to them?
The answers won’t come easy, but the time couldn’t be more perfect for the release of Karen Ehman’s new book, Listen, Love, Repeat.
Of course we know the timing of this resource isn’t an accident. God’s perfect plan is for us to enjoy this book and glean nuggets of wisdom at such a time as this.
Ehman shows us how to scatter kindness, how to bring joy to others, and how to truly listen to one another.
Listen, Love, Repeat shares:
- ‘One Anothers,’ which emphasize that our relationships really do matter
- Scripture references and connections to real-life examples
- Tips for loving the hard-to-love
- Necessary people talking points
- Dinner ideas for someone in need
I am struck by Ehman’s ability to see through the junk that gets in the way of our being respectful, hospitable, and loving toward others. She equips us every step of the way with God’s word to navigate our relationships with people from all walks of life and in all situations.
God’s plan all along was that people would do life in community. To be connected to others. To share joys and concerns. To live out the great vertical fellowship with their Creator through the horizontal connections with their fellow humans. We see this concept throughout scripture. ~ Chapter 7
God has given us the gift of life and I am reminded that every moment together counts. We must be intentional with our time, genuinely listen to those around us, and spread kindness everywhere we go. Listen, Love, Repeat.

THE GIVEAWAY IS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2016
Enjoy Karen Ehman’s new release, Listen, Love, Repeat. Karen is a beloved and popular Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker and is a New York Times bestselling author.
This goes back to what seems so simple to those of us raised learning the Bible…”God IS love.” Any love, altruistic love, goes back to God. It reminds me of a statement once said to me (forgive me if I get the words a little messed up)…”True demonstration of love is doing something for someone who has no way to pay you, or give anything, in return.” It is not always what we say or do, or how loud we are in doing it. Sometimes it is being still and listening to God’s love ever so carefully so that we may be able to convey His love and truth boldly, confidently, and most of all? With an humbleness that only God can create within of us.
