Week 4
November 22: Make the Connection
For 30 days, ask God to show you the many ways He has blessed you. Take a few moments each day to write down specific thoughts and praises. Thank Him daily for His blessings.
Scripture: “They are new every morning: great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:23
Take Action: Often we forget to give God the credit for all that we have and all that we are. But as Christians, we need to acknowledge that God is good, all the time. He gives us all things and He creates all things. We should always be thankful for the things God gives to us, because we are His creations. What can you do to more deeply connect Him to your life? What changes will you have to make?
Read James 1:17; John 11:41
November 23: What if we were grateful for everything?
For 30 days, ask God to show you the many ways He has blessed you. Take a few moments each day to write down specific thoughts and praises. Thank Him daily for His blessings.
Scripture: For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.” 1 Timothy 4:4
Take Action: Just think about this for a minute. What would your life look like and feel like if you were grateful for every single thing? Sounds impossible doesn’t it? But we know if we commit to praying for a heart of gratitude we will see changes. And we know that we can’t be discontented and thankful at the same time. So if our grateful minds are constantly fixed upon the best, then things become the best, because our Heavenly Father is the BEST.
Read Psalm 9:1; Romans 7:25
November 24: Uncover gratitude in unexpected moments
For 30 days, ask God to show you the many ways He has blessed you. Take a few moments each day to write down specific thoughts and praises. Thank Him daily for His blessings.
Scripture/Thought: “There is something in each day that can bring gratitude and joy if only we will see and appreciate it. Perhaps we should be looking less with our eyes and more with our hearts.” Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Take Action: Find small miracles of gratitude each day. A few examples could be an encouraging note sent by a co-worker or friend or much needed support during a meeting/presentation. Or maybe you were running late and avoided a trouble spot along the way. Whatever it is, there are numerous examples of gratitude and thankfulness in our day if we look for them.
Read 1 Thessalonians 5:18; 1 Chronicles 16:34;
November 25: Gratitude Turns What We Have into Enough
For 30 days, ask God to show you the many ways He has blessed you. Take a few moments each day to write down specific thoughts and praises. Thank Him daily for His blessings.
Scripture/Thought: “Be thankful and count your blessings for what you have, rather than what you want.”
Take Action: According to author, Melody Beattie, gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
So be thankful for what you have and it will end up being more than you ever thought.
Read Psalm 100:4; John 10:10
November 26: Let Us All Give Thanks
For 30 days, ask God to show you the many ways He has blessed you. Take a few moments each day to write down specific thoughts and praises. Thank Him daily for His blessings.
Scripture: “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving.” Psalm 69:30
Take Action: Happy Thanksgiving! As we approach this day let’s take a moment & thank God for what He has done for us.
Let us reflect on the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Let us be thankful for spiritual growth and our salvation in Christ Jesus.
Thanksgiving Day is a day set aside to express our nations thanks to our nation’s God.
As we prepare for this day turn your eyes upon Him and do the following:
- Thank Him for every blessing you have. He is the provider of all that we have and our gratitude comes from Him exclusively.
- The foundation of Thanksgiving is found in God’s word so read Psalm 100. This is a psalm for giving thanks.
- Thank him for all that you have, but most especially for your spiritual possessions, because they are priceless.
Read Psalm 95; Psalm103; Dueteronomy 8:7-11
November 27: Spread Your Attitude of Gratitude
For 30 days, ask God to show you the many ways He has blessed you. Take a few moments each day to write down specific thoughts and praises. Thank Him daily for His blessings.
Scripture: “Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, WE GIVE YOU THANKS and praise Your glorious name.” 1 Chronicles 29:12-13
Take Action: Be the one who embraces an attitude of gratitude and share it with those around you. Show friends and family that they are appreciated. Make a list of people you want to honor through a random act of kindness, and then take action. If you honored someone or something close to their heart tell them how you did it. It is better to give than receive and the season is ripe for doing for others. A fringe benefit to doing for others–you receive the blessing too. And the spirit of giving is contagious.
Read Dueteronomy 6:1-12
November 28: Be Thankful through Every Season
For 30 days, ask God to show you the many ways He has blessed you. Take a few moments each day to write down specific thoughts and praises. Thank Him daily for His blessings.

Take Action: There are forty-three chapters in the book of Psalms that praise God’s works, recounts the blessings of righteous living, thanks God for deliverance, and praises God for His wonderful Word. These psalms remind us that the best sacrifice we can offer to God is a faithful and obedient life.
Read Psalm 35:18; Psalm 50:14; Psalm 69:30
Prayer of thanksgiving:
Dear Heavenly Father, please let my heart of gratitude honor You and draw others closer to You. You are the reason and source of all that I have and all that I am. I want my attitude of gratitude to be contagious and a light for your Kingdom. I praise your Holy name day in and day out and I dedicate this season of thanksgiving to the King of Kings and give you praise, glory and honor. Amen!
